I was thinking of switching from my stock ss hood to a carbon fiber ss hood which does and looks the same as mine except its lighter and it is in black of course.. and my car is Silver... Who thinks it will look too rice rocket?? or look good.. also I have 18 Black deep dish wheels on it now??? please give me your opinions, thanks.

Well if you do decide on swapping, let me know. I'm currently looking for a SS hood for my 98 Z28.. Thanks, and good luck...

Its your car, do what you like.

With that said, I think cars with different colored hoods just don't look good IMO.

I just bought a Carbon Fiber hood, though I'll be painting mine in the Manta/ZL1 pattern. Personally I don't think that an unpainted CF hood would look good on a Silver Camaro, despite how pretty the two are seperately. BTW, don't think you're fooling anyone by saying it's lighter, there's minimal, if any difference. I'll update you when it gets put on, but it'll be another week before the body shop even gets the car.

Carbon fiber really won't give you any weight differences from regular fiberglass. In fact, you probably will not be able to tell the difference.

i plan on getting one, painting the hood but leave the scoop in cf... been wanting to do this for awhile jus never got around to it, by the time you got it painted it it would looks jus like a reg ss hood with black manta... but up close you will see cf, i think it would look badass, but i wouldnt leave it unpainted
