After replacing all that has gone wrong with it the car seems to be doing great. I liked it other than having it in the shop LITERALLY every weekend.

I can't wait for the next few posts from Stanger:

- All Tinted F-bodies: Did they do your hatch in one piece or two? Does it affect the durability of the tint? Did they cut the pieces flush with the defroster line? Should I go darker next time? I was thinking maybe something that matches the sail panel better?

- Tinted F-bodies Inside!: Should I have opted for 29% tint because of the stock 1-2% tint? Did you have trouble with the cops? What excuses did you guys use? Will my car get ticketed/impounded because I'm 6% over the limit instead of 5%?

- Tint Removal Help: What's the best way to remove tint? Should I use a razor? What if I scratch my window? Will I have to buy a new hatch window?

i had 15% all the way around...it was...orgasmic. then i got pulled by the same lady that got me for racing a month earlier. and to get the ticket dropped i got 30%. most cops will give you a little leniancy when it comes to 3-5% but some are dicks and will **** you in the *** with no lube. but you won't get hastled if you have 30%.

sooner or later i'm going back to my 15% i miss it so much. i could pull up to a light and do ANYTHING in the car and nobody could see me really, it was awesome. eventually...15% sides, 5% back and 35% front...sex...lol

it'll look 100x's better than now though with tint!

5% tint here. Same thing on my old Camaro. Love it.

Good thing cops couldn't care less about tint in Florida.

Do they honestly do it in 2 pieces?

Depends on the skill of the tinter. The hatch window is curved in a manner that the tint would have to be heated (stretched) so that it applies properly. Combined with the awkward angle of application and size of the sheet, it's no wonder why only a skilled tinter would tackle a one-piece job on an f-body. Some tinters won't tint the hatch at all.

We shall soon see the skill-level of my chosen tinter! I call at 2PM (it's 12:30 now) to confirm the 3PM appointment.

If you're paying more than $130ish for the entire job, you should expect nothing less than perfect results. Keep that receipt handy.

30%? Wow that sucks, you can still see through that right? Cops must be real a$$hole around there huh? 5% here in Philly area you have to run into a reall dooshbag to get a ticket for tint, and BTW mine was computer cut, 1 single piece for the back

I love Miami, there is a tint shop on every corner, so we get amazing prices. Mine was tinted 20% all around, high quality film, and a lifetime warranty for 70 bucks.

Tint is perfect. 30/30/15. Back window has NO creases, NO bubbles, immaculate (he used 1-piece). It took 1.5 hours and there were no issues at all during the process. Guy measured twice, cut once, and never had to do anything over. VERY IMPRESSED! It is raining and so I will post pix taken from when I got the car...also raining and sadly only 2 pics (camera phone-crap) so far, I dont like standing in the rain.
I tried to find a few pix I had of the car in rainy/cloudy weather before tint so it would be easier to compare. I love it! AWESOME MOD!!!
