Default who can painted there waterpump?

curious to know what you exactly did it make sure the paint stuck to the pump. my water pump is pretty clean,but i figure i will clean it real good then use some type of high heat paint that i will be using on my block.

The pulley, and thermostat housing are chromed, along with the chrome button head bolts on the pulley.

Before I polished everything I had mine painted red.

Just use brake cleaner in the spraycan from Auto Zone.. and tape everything with masking like normal..

Had this for about 6 months.

I just bought that Satin black engine paint from napa. Worked fine for me. Drove my car pretty hard for the past few days. 250 miles and still on there....lol

how did you rig up your intakes to your lid? It looks pretty cool.

LOL, yea it was an idea me and my dad came up with a while back. It's some sort of flexible hose and it can be ran between the radiator and support brace if you've deleted AC, or up through the support brace like mine, since I had AC on the car at the time. I just cut two holes about 3.5" long by probably 2.5" wide or so, and formed the hose/venting to it and sealed around it. Works pretty well, but gotta watch it in the rain or if you do alot of highway driving, they like to catch little pebbles and things. Filter gets dirty in no-time too, but car don't get drove that often, unless headed to track. If interested I can e-mail more pics. Thanks.

I had alot of stuff chromed at 1 time. I think the pulley and thermostat housing costed be around $80-$100 or so, I can't remember...
