What color to paint my calipers? Silver / Black / Red ? I'll probably just use the Duplicolor kit for calipers. I was thinking black with silver "Trans Am" decals on top, or vice-versa. Also not in the picture is the "Trans Am" letters for the doors in silver. Any ideas? Thanks guys. http://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...riverfront.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...arpassside.jpghttp://i64.photobucket.com/albums/h1...e/carfront.jpg |
2 Attachment(s) I have a white WS6 and painted the calipers red. |
i just did mine in silver my car is silver |
silver or red..mine are red..It stands out more in red....although I also debated silver. |
I've always been partial to red. |
I just didn't know if red would look right with the car being black and silver. That's why I was thinking of keeping that same color scheme. |
I say silver calipers with black lettering. |
Red Calipers with Silver lettering. Hey it works for the ZO6, right? |
Do them silver. I did my calipers silver and I have silver door emblems. Makes it more uniform when looking at it. |
Guys... feel free to post pics of what yours looks like on your car to give a better idea. |
go black with chrome caliper decal |
Red!!! |
|
What decals is everyone using? I want something that really stands out when I do mine. |
How do you guys think red would look on a black / silver car?

Polish them! Grind them down a little bit and polish them! You have the chrome rims that come very close to matching the polished aluminum. I'll send some pics of mine when I get my car back if you are still interested. |
What do you use to get them smooth? Sandpaper? My wheels are TT2's, and are polished aluminum. If you were looking at the wheels in post #15, they are not my wheels; just a picture of some calipers with the style of decals I'd like to use. |
I'm having my calipers and valve covers powder coated SOM to match the car. Thinking about having the intake sanded and painted the same color as well. |
Anyone else??? |
I would paint them red if you want them to stand out, thats what color mine are and it looks real good on a black car. IT also looks real good when you sand them down and use a rubbing compound to make them look like chrome, but thats alot of work. |
