This car belongs to the Vice President of the Viper Club of America. The car was a pleasure to work on, and he was a pleasure to deal with. It was an overcast day, so the pictures are a touch dark.

Next up was a Ford GT owned by a doctor in town. It has long tube headers, a Ford Racing exhaust, and a Whipple. This car was a major PITA! It only has 250 miles on the odometer and looked like it was washed with the dirtiest rag someone at the dealership could find. Numerous scratches and swirls plagued the finish. Not only that, but there are 4 million cracks, crevices, cubbie-holes, etc. to clean, polish, and/or dress. In the end, I spent 11+ hours on it. I wasn't 100% satisfied with it, but there eventually has to be a stopping place.
The paint was very thin, but rock hard. I corrected the majority of the defects, but some deeper problems still remain. A word of warning to anyone else who gets their hands on a Ford GT...be careful taping the textured trim pieces. While I was removing the tape, some of the paint/texture lifted from the piece. You can notice the area in one of the pictures (#4).
Process:
-wash
-clay
-PO106FF via light cutting pad and PC on 5-6
-PO106FF via polishing pad and PC on 5
-Zaino Z5 Pro
-Zaino Z16 on tires and trim
Before
Afters
Questions, comments, and advice are always welcome.

11+ Hours!? Damn, I hope you are appropriately compensated. This may be a "common sense" tip for you but, here it is anyway. As a graphic artist, I'm taping and untaping pieces of artwork all the time for one reason or another. One little trick I always use when I have to tape something that has a high adhesion factor is this: I'll first put the piece of tape on my blue jeans before I stick it on the item in question. This puts a nice even layer of very fine fuzz on the tape which doesn't really affect the adhesive quality but really helps the tape release once you pull it off.
BTW, that GT looks freakin' awesome!! Nice work.

Im with everyone else, that GT is sooo fricken hot. I would kill to own one of those. I have seen a few in person, but I have to admit, that all black is the nicest one. I think that the ones that are multiple colors or stripes, hides the cool body design.

Thanks, everyone!!
Actually, he drove 2500 miles for my services...just kidding. He lives in town and was referred to me by the owner of the shop.
He was very understanding - it's just a factory defect. The dealership is taking care of it.
I agree. The paint had very little orange peel, but overall quality was not good.
I'm not completely sure.
