Default Which glue to use to reseal console lid cover?

The console lid cover on my console is coming off just a bit and I can see that it's held on by glue at the edges. What's a good glue to use that won't harm the material but still yield a tight bind?

Pics?

Its vinyl covered foam on a plastic or metal backer thats attached to a the hinge and there is an additional plastic cover under it. I've removed mine and recovered it in grey fabric. To remove it, remove the 4 or 6 screws holding the plastic cover under it. Then (I forget) either there are two more screws holding it to the hinge or two of the screws that were just removed also held the hinge. At this point the cover is now off and you can inspect it more closely.
