Default Autozone Deluxe Car Covers

For those who use car covers, could I use those $70 deluxe covers from autozone/wal-mart and not have paint scratches, or should I go all out and buy a $150 California Cover?
My car is in a garage filled with furniture and other crap (our house has no attic space) and I'm currently using a really soft blanket that only covers 1/4 of the car, and would like to A) do a better job and B) not have a "Jethro" cover on my car. Thanks in advance to all replies.

Invest in a California car cover, you won't regret it.
