Need some help with LED's

I am trying to replace the bulbs over the window and door lock switches, and I can't remove the old bulb. Is there some secret to getting it out?

i drilled mine out, then just glued the led in. i just made sure that the drill bit i was using wasnt bigger then the led.

Is there any other way rather than drilling. I bought the #74 bulbs that should be just a plug in.

I just used a pair of pliers and broke the glass of the bulb. Then I grabbed the insides of the bulb and pulled it out. Sounds kind of destructive but it worked great and didn't break the housing or anything.

Ya ive heard that the old bulb will break but just make sure and get all the old pieces out and you will be fine. ;)

The ones on the door will just twist and turn out while the HVAC, shifter leds, etc. you need to pull out with needle nose pliars. Sometimes the whole thing will come out sometimes it won't. If it busts then grab the filaments with your needle nose pliers and pull the base out.

I have even used a mouse pad to get good grip of the bulb to pull them out too. Seems to work.

Thanks, that worked.
