Default Black T/A Winter Transformation (56k gets an award)

These aren't the greatest pictures in the world since the car has been driven since I detailed it the other weekend so there's some brake dust on the wheels and a couple other minor things I'm not all that happy with. I mostly wanted to get these up to show the changes because the weather is going to get rainy soon and it could be a little while.

The first set of pictures were done at the beginning of the winter, the new ones were taken today.

Here is the old front with stock fogs, red nosebird and red headlight accent

I put in new fogs because the stockers were looking like crap and one of them melted around the bulb. This is also with a chrome nosebird and no headlight accent. My car likes to call this one the "buy me a friggin' hood already" angle.

Here are the old stock sidemarkers, sorry the car was dirty in the first pic

This is what it looks like now with clear corners I made myself

I used to have red calipers with a black bracket and chrome discs with red birds on the wheels

I repainted the calipers black and applied chrome decals to them then removed the accents from the wheel centercaps. Sorry the calipers are a little dusty, they're usually a nice gloss black

My old side vents were done in red

And so were the door accents

The vents are now done in a hammered gunmetal color since I didn't have flat black at the time. I planned on respraying them but actually like how they are different in a very subtle way. It sets them off without being crazy.

I also removed the door badging which you can see in the same picture

I used to have red birds on the pillars

Now they are stripped off

My rear center piece was getting faded and pink

I wetsanded it to hell and then applied new chrome accents. I cleared over everything and replaced the red PONTIAC letters with chrome to match. I like the way the thicker firebird looks a lot better than the stock one.

I ended up going through my second power antenna last month so I finally decided to go with the BitViper piece. It was a simple deal to just switch in a non-power bracket and pop his piece right on top.

And finally a couple pics of the new sub/amp I put in the car within the last few weeks. Eclipse stuff sounds AWESOME.

Overall I'm really happy with the way things turned out. I had the red on the car for several years and now it was time for a change. I will update with some night pictures to show the LED side markers and halos in the fogs along with the H7 conversion I did on my headlights since they kept going out.

Final product. By the way, this car is a daily driver that just clicked 100k this week .

Looks good, keep the molding. Removed badging gets rid of the clutter. The molding flows with the front bumper.

Looks much better now with everything cleaned up and flowing nicely.

I debated pulling it for a long time but I think I'll be keeping the moulding for now. I agree it flows with the bumper but I also have the car in a busy parking lot when i'm at work so if nothing else it'll be that little bit extra that'll save me from more door dings.

Once I do a set of headers I'd like to get a hood and possibly some wheels for the car. It's already lowered so nothing to worry about there.

Basically take a dremel and cut around the edges to remove the old plastic then you sand the edges to be fairly even and cover it with the material of your choice. I used the clear/white plastic that's placed over fluorescent lighting because it's easy to find at a home depot or whatever.

I used silcone to seal mine but I'd recommend using hot glue instead. One day i'm going to pull them all apart and clean them up then re-seal them with the glue because it'll hold better.

Thanks guys! It'll sound as mean as it looks once I get the headers in. Right now the open cutout hasn't been too bad though .

The raptor hood is a good choice, I'm looking at that one or the ws9 outlaw and I can't decide! I probably can't afford it/have time for it until towards the end of the summer or later anyway though so I have time to think.

Silver UltraZ, just replied to your thread because that setup looks like it should be BADASS man .

I like, youve done a lot to it.

if u dont mind, how much did u spend total on the sub and amps? I would like a setup like that because you still have trunk space

Hmm, well I bought those used so the price was only around 3-350 or so I think (with enclosure). You can get some other stuff new at that price but I really like the way eclipse sounds and I'm glad I went this route. If you look around on ebay or on the site here though you shouldn't have too much of a problem finding a great deal as long as you are patient.

Looks a lot better. I never thought about making my own side markers. Pretty slick idea.
