Default polishing question

hey im looking to do a custom 4inch intake well i was wondering what metal will polish up to a near mirror finish? stainless? alumnized steel?

stainless steel and polished aluminum come out quite nicely.

Have the intake fabbed in aluminum.

Stainless will polish, but there are different blends of stainless that don't clean up well. (swirly/cloudy/slightly dull) Plus stainless takes more effort/time to shine to the level of aluminum.... in addition aluminum will dissipate heat faster than stainless.

Aluminized steel is a dead end.
