My car is done for....Another reason to hate FORDS I was out cruising tonight before getting gas. As I pulled into a driveway to turn around, a Ford work truck came hauling *** up behind me and smashed into the back of my car. The @#$#%$@ skidded off the road and into a barbed wire fence, then proceeded to leave the scene. I ran after the guy, but even a ford was too fast for me to catch on foot. I cant believe someone has the nerve to do this to anyone. If I ever get ahold of the guy, I hope there is somebody to hold me back. I can't even begin to express my anger. Heres the damage:
Just for reference, this is from 2 days ago. What a way to ruin a (in my opinion) beautiful F-body.

I'll be calling the insurance company first thing tomorrow. The cop left to look for the van down the road after he took care of everything with me. I'm hoping, since i've not gotten the call which I was promised, that the cop found the rotten POS.
Unfortunately, I have liability. I'm not sure if it has uninsured motorist protection. Something tells me, with my current luck, I will be forced to deal with this on my own. At this point i'm going to start looking for a new car. I think the rear may have some frame damage and i'm not about to start messing with that.

I would just look for a roller to put the drivetrain and interior into if I had to foot that bill myself...

I'm looking for a decent 98+ with or without motor. The motor has ~40,000 miles on it. I just did a cam/heads/pushrods/etc... over spring break and have only put about 1k miles on it. I'm going to be able to keep the motor and wheels but I dont know how much else.

did you get the license plate number? i was hit and ran about 6 months ago and was contacted about a month ago by the guy who hit me's insurance company. now my car is like new, on his tab! that really is horrible to see and i wish you the best of luck with it!!

I am sorry to hear that man...that was one clean looking ride. Looks like you had a 96 or 97 SS spoiler on it? Yeah, if the frame is messed up, then another car is the way to go, too bad it wasn't just cosmetic damage...that ******* did some major damage!

God that sucks. You only have liability? So in other words you must own the car outright? That sucks even more 
I wouldn't go looking for another car though, the damages aren't really *that* bad that it cant be fixed for a few grand. Considering you only have liability I have to assume the car is paid for in full, which would lead me to believe throwing it out the window would be way to painful and you'd be better off fixing it.
