Got it on. Went with the Denali/Escalade stainless tip off of ebay. Turned out real nice, its kind of subtle and really cleans up the back of the car. A lot louder than the magnaflow, car sounds pretty mean

ehh, I personally don't like it at all....those other ideas were good though. It looks kind of tacky with just one sticking sideways out the rear....

I don't get why everybody is obsessed with having two tips. Its not like these cars came with real true duals.

^^it just looks tacky with only one tip sticking out the side especially behind the rear wheel..imo. i would consider doing one of those other ideas, because I have a feeling that you are going to get some negative feedback for your tip...

98 WS6 and SS came stock with a single tip.

So even when I went after market I kept true to the 98 design of the single tip, I went with a 4" mufflex exhaust with a custom altered hooker aeromax so it would except the 4" pipe. Then I painted the whole thing black so it would blend in.

These cars have an application for true duals, and two tips add symmetry to the rear end.

Your current setup is common on trucks. It's nice to see a new exhaust idea though.

From what I read the reason for that is that exhaust noise was meassured from the opposite side at the rear of the car. By exhausting on the other side they were able to use a lower restriction and louder factory exhaust to gain more power while still meeting noise standards. While it can be just as, if not more powerful, I think most people simply prefer the look of dual tail pipes, even when it obviously has nothing to do with true dual exhaust.

I'm not feeling the one pipe hanging out the back like that.. at least paint the piping black but thats me... I just don't like seeing cars with dull pipes hanging down in the back.

I'm a fan of no exhaust past the axle on Camaro's.

I love the sound of true duals, but they're just too damn loud if they dump before the axle. And they rattle the interior all to hell. I'm all about having a loud *** car, but there is a breaking point when you do a 50 mile round trip commute on the interstate.

I really thought I would stab my eyes out by the sound of this idea, but it's not bad.

Rick.

I'm sorry....but side exit exhaust is for 80's pickups and queers with Mustangs. either run it out the back with two tips, dump it at the axle, or buy a rusty truck. Just my thoughts....I'm gonna go stare at my Corsa tips now.
