Default Wax

Could anyone recommend which is the absolute best wax to use. My car is Sebring Silver. I had it wet sanded down to remove the orange peel finish. It is like glass and then had more metal flake added to the clear coat for a more brilliant shine. The car is in the chassis shop now having the cage and stuff done. It is filthy. I want to be able to remove all the crap it picked up. Should I clay bar and if so, which one, etc. Also, what is the best stuff to use on my Draglites? I have always used Eagle One products but wanted to know if there is better stuff out there. Thanks.

Mothers knows best. I have been using there stuff for a long time and love it. Meguiars makes good stuff to. Everyone has there favorite brand.

Mine are just mothers or meguiars for cleaners and waxes and quick detailers.

Hands down best wax is Zaino, PERIOD. Best wax for the average user would be NXT by Meguiares.

this is what I used to use on mine..

!swirls and polish with whatever you choose.

Meg's #21 x 2

Meg's #16 (#26 would also work)

I haven't had a chance to try Tropi-care TC-3 on Silver yet .. but I bet it would also look nice ..

I've just recently tried out some old school turtle wax stuff my dad had laying around in the garage and now the car shines harder than it EVER did with meguiars or mothers.....

I'd show you what a 6 hour detail on my black t/a with meguiar's products looks like but it rained the next day before I even had a chance to take any pictures in good lighting .

I used 83, dacp
80, speed glaze
then 26, tech wax

when I don't need to polish out swirls or just do maintenance I use show car glaze (7 I think) topped with the 26 and it still looks awesome.

this was done with a porter cable btw.

Here is my car with a very mild buff since it barely needed it, Meguiars New Car glaze applied with an orbital, and Colinite 885 Fleetwax.

i really like the new turtle wax ice stuff.....all three of the products work really well....the liquid clay bar is awesome for bugs and small scuffs or imperfections, then the liquid polish is awesome....i love it because you can put it on the black trim and it doesn't leave an ugly *** white residue...it actually makes that stuff look good. Lastly their spray detailer is great too for touch ups

Megs products are loaded with oils. All that hard work washed down the driveway.

some are, most aren't. if he topped NXT with #26, then nothing washed down the driveway.

Allot depends on how long ago you got it repainted you do NOT want to wax fresh paint the paint needs to breathe for at least a couple months before you wax it you can polish it just don't put on wax. If it was longer than that then you want to clay bar it with mothers clay bar, then polish it with a PURE polish I like the Maguires show car glaze then you want to wax it. I recommend Maguires NXT or mother's reflections series wax .

26 is a carnauba/synthetic product so i'm sure that topping the glaze with this helped minimize some of what you're talking about. Either way, it's all polished out now so it would just need a quick pass of 7 and another of 26 to look as good as it did before.
