Refinishing my interior panels

Im refinishing my interior panels, some have fadded some in spots but the dash is where i am focusing on right now. My car was a cop car and when the took out the radar guns and read outs it discolored the the dash. also it looks as though its starting to peel right up front under the windshield. I want to refinish it. What should I do to accomplish this? Do I need to re-paint it with the interior color paint?

Wow! Really nobody has had to deal with this?

Well i don't know what to do for sure... but my friend has a 1978 porsche 911 that he painted some tan interior panels black and after a few coats it looked like the car came with the black factory. It really does look good. By the way, is that picture of your actual gauges pegged?? If so it's just funny cuz that used to be a cop car. haha

Be ULTRA Careful taking out that dash pad, if its old it will shatter like glass.

But yea a duplicolor interior paint works good, you might consider some Krylon Plastic Adhesion Primer then some Paint though....

Thanks for all the input I will have to try it. I have two, so I can experiment a little I guess. But I would prefer to just do it right the first time like anyone.
