Default washing car cover?

hi everyone. i have the original gm cover for my t/a. but whenever i put this thing on it seems to leave a lot of dust on the car. i even shaked this thing out with the help from a friend. still the seme reult upon removal. anyone ever wash one if these. was thinking of taking it to the laundry mat and putting it in the biggest washer and dryer they have. this is an original cover that came with the car. but i have no maintenance literature for it. any suggestions will help out. thanks

String a rope or two up between trees or whatever (or use a clothes line) and wash and spray down. Another option.

I used to use a CA car cover. Washed it in the large machines you speak of. Used liquid soap. Never put it in the dryer. (Not sure if the dryer would harm the material or not)

I've washed my Covercraft cover a few times in the machine, but mostly just lay it on top my fence and hose it off and let dry.

I have a CA car cover that cost me alot of money. I believe I have the Noah.

I have a washer and dryer at home. Could I just use the laundry detergent at home and just not dry it in the machine?

Thanks.

Thats what I do and dry it outside. Shake the lint out with a helper before you cover the car again.

Wash on cold, with very little soap and let air dry. DO NOT put in the dryer!

CA car covers reccomend just putting it on your car like normal and wash it while it's on your car. Then let it dry on your car.

I have a california car cover and when I wash mine, I use the large industrial washers. The company recommends using about a 1/2 of a 32 ounce bottle of a cleaner called fantastic for the soap instead of regular detergent. Spread the cover back over your car and let it air dry.

looks like im going to the laundry mat. as for the drying part, theres no way im going to let a damp cover air dry on my car. that would make me worry. thanks everyone.
