WOW...I'm a dumbass!!!!! PICS Inside

Well here is what happened...when ever I wash the car I flip up the windshield wipers to clean underneath them and before I opened the hood I forgot to put them back down :bang:.....and the end result was my wiper arm being snapped in half, as well as, chipping some paint off my hood, but I couldn't get a pic of that cuz the flash kept reflecting off the paint

A quick trip to the local junk yard and 10 bucks later all is back to normal :D....minus the scared hood :emb:

ls2 bait Oct 9, 2007 09:35 PM

u r very lucky. i did that once as well as a buddy of mine and we both broke the windsheild. as a matter of fact 90% of the ones that do that lose a windsheild.

LS1 Terror Oct 9, 2007 09:41 PM

^^^^ thats very true lucky!

unSStoppable Oct 9, 2007 09:43 PM

DAMN..and I thought finding a replacement at the junk yard was lucky.

That wiper did go flying across the room pretty damn fast :engarde:

could have been worse

brianfromhawaii Oct 9, 2007 10:28 PM

Lol funny you guys talk about wind shields, i was having mine replaced and the guys broke it trying to take it off.

Xx01CamaroZ28xX Oct 9, 2007 11:15 PM

WOW that could have been really bad lol. Bet you've learned to check the wipers before you open the hood now lol.

I almost did the same thing the other day but i got lucky and saw it before i hit the wipers...

BlkBird2000 Oct 10, 2007 07:49 AM

Ive done that twice. "F*CK" is what you hear everytime i do it. Havent broken a windshield yet:)

bjamick Oct 10, 2007 07:58 AM

:jest: well i've never done thins bc i always put the wipers down after i do the other side of the windshield :D.

Swiat34 Oct 10, 2007 08:15 AM

Same here too

I kinda did the same. I was drying my car and had the wipers up, headlights up, and the hood balancing open. Sure as shit the hood went up when I stepped away from the car to grab my other terry towel. It just broke the passenger arm the same way, and not the windshield or drivers side. Many a cuss words were used after it happened too!! Kinda felt like :nutkick: I pulled in at the junk yard as the guy was closing his door but he let me run out and see if there was a good wiper arm on the firebirds he had. The last firebird had the driver's side smashed and that side's wiper busted, but the passenger side was ok. Talk about lucky! He asked for $10 but I gave him $20 for his trouble. Swat

:bigun2:
