I got my package today. I got it last week but I was out of town. I didn't realize how big and heavy the spoiler is until you open the box.

How much is the body shop charging to paint the spoiler? Did you test fit it before you took it to the body shop?

i didnt test fit, i figured since its SLP it should fit perfect...not like the cheap ebay ones.

the shop is charging $200 to do the touch up (and it needs a lot of it apparently) and match the paint. i got a hook up.

When you say touch-up, what do they mean?

The guy I had do my Berger panel primered it, let me sand it. I took it back to him after I sanded it and he painted it. I installed it.

I'm hoping the same guy will do the same thing. I'll take him the spoiler, have him look at it and see what he says. I'll sand it and take it back to him with my stock spoiler and have him color match it. I'll install the spoiler.

well like most fiberglass parts it needed some filling and perfecting. some of the edges werent straight. one issue was at the seam where the top meets the bottom. it was kinda jagged, so they asked if i wanted them to hide the seam or just make it look straight. i forget what i told him. lol

it looked good to me, but this guy is a perfectionist. he works mostly on Grand Nationals (he has a schweet 1500hp gn). ok, might as well post pics real fast...i forgot i had pics of his car.

Oh ok.

I see you are in Orange County. Could you either post his shop info, or PM it to me? Thanks.

I'm also throwing around the idea of some how filling in the bond line so the spoiler looks like one piece, and not two. That is if it doesn't cost to much.

It will probably cost a bit more. I think it would look awesome if it came out right.
