Default Design Contest - LS1 Trans Am Front End

This is just a fun little contest (more like a competition, really) for the artistic types out there to design something real nice from basically a blank front bumper cover. What size + shape of air inlets do you guys think would look good? Maybe add some fog lights. Whatever you think would look good and flow with the design of these cars.

I'm not sure about the best way to do this. I did a so-so Photoshop of this front end on my car.

Maybe you could use this pic as a base for your design.

I don't know. It's not really that kind of contest. It's just for fun and to see how creative you can be. Its possible that the guy making these front ends will do one similar. It just seems so blank, theres lots of potential.

I'm usually pretty good at these things, but this front end is giving me a mental block. Here's the owners car, Christian.

Which model?

I kind of like this variation of the front.
It's reworked more, but its a simple pair of square air inlet and 2 lights. To me it looks great, but I think the plain front end can look good as well with a properly cut set of air inlets.

I think the crease in the middle is whats limiting the designs. It almost forces you to use 2 separate openings. Now if the nose were rounded more smoothly you could have a single opening going all the way across.

Hmm what about a "bird delete". Kinda like the grill delete on the 04 mustangs and cobras, where the emblem is but there's no grill behind so u can see the radiator and etc. take the E-1 bumper and photochop out that center divider and have a outline of the firebird hangin in the center. Hopfully this makes sense lol

I think I know what for mean, it's just going to be an awefully big opening. How about if you make the bird from a solid piece of polished stainless roughly the size of the bird on the front plate cover? Have it floating there? I wonder if it will make the opening seem a bit smaller?

I'll post a front shot of christians car so someone can easily Photoshop it. Or I'll do it once I get home.

Still, I wish someone could come up with a decent design for the blank bumper.

Wow that makes the front look like an FD RX-7 or a C5 Vette.

i cant find the thread or the user his name was krazy mike or something to that affect he had a silver ta he did a photochop too where he filled in the liscense plate bird and got rid of the bars spliting the drl hole and the ven hole under it made it look kinda of ferrari esk but still maintained the lines of the ta, wish i could find the pics i wanted to do it to my car but it wouldnt work since it was made of urethane we would have to cut out so much of the bumper that it wouldnt be very strong and would not hold up, but maybe someone else remembers what i am talking about.

I did this chop awhile ago to my old blue car, always loved how it would have looked:

A lighter version so you can see it.

[QUOTE=JasonWW;8495820]Which model?

The Ferrari F430. Another idea would to also try the back end of ferrari as well. Like where on the ferrrari the exhaust pipes are enclosed I think you could pull that off with a Trans Am
