"Trans-Am splitters will get attention again soon BUT will only happen on a pre-order basis based off of a cardboard template. Splitters aren't selling and it is not fair to my waterjet guy (he has been creating the computer files for free and since he doesn't have a scanner it takes a week of working on it here and there) to not have pre-orders ready and waiting..."
I would obviously show you guys a template first but am not going to design a product just for people to internet voyeur.
Camaro Splitter thread had 40,000 views. When the final product was made, IDENTICAL to the template and the prototype everyone loved, our total sale from the GP were TWO.
Which was fine by me since I had priced them too low, one profit was $5 the other cost me $5.
So, at the end of the day there's no way in hell I'm going to go through the week's worth of busting my but to get a product made and taking up other people's time if people don't want it enough to pre-order it. Just that plain and simple.
Here's the thing, I'm not a "business" guy. I'm not doing this to make money, AT ALL. I'm doing this to get some cool parts out of my head and onto a car.
I had a little money, made some parts, turned that into more money, did it again, paid for sponsorship for three months and figured I'd do my BEST to get people parts they want while I can...
...if you don't take a little risk yourselves then you can kiss your chances good bye. I'm definitely not going to be doing R&D work for much longer. My acting stuff has just sparked up and I don't have the time (I'm a recurring actor, not extra, on 3 television shows right now).
I'm going to do my best to try to keep my sponsorship up so that I can simply act as a hub, striking deals with all the little guys to get their products out to you. Something we lost when LS1tech became corporate but something I am trying to created a legitimate avenue of.
Sit on your butts and complain then blink and it will be gone... Like the RK Sport 93-96 Camaro Console Gauge Pod
