Is VFN the best?
I wrecked my 01 Z28 last night and now have to fix it. Since the insurance is going to flip the bill, I want to finally get the 4in cowl hood I always wanted. Is VFN the best? I've been doing searches and noone seems to have ever had a problem with one but I am wondering if there is a better on out there as far as fit and quality. I've seen a few on Ebay but don't trust ebay for stuff like that. Has anyone else had experience with any of the 4in cowls or should I just get the VFN? I am including a pic of my car but it was taken today after the accident so it is kind of paingul to look at.

i think every 4 inch cowl looks hoosier, but that's just me. if I were you, I'd go harwood or vfn sunoco... at least with those you don't look like you just bought your car from joe-jack.

No they don't stock them, they make each one individually, thats why they take forever. I believe its *nonsponsor link removed* and it costs around $420 or so. I heard they raised their prices but i'm not sure. pin-ons are always cheaper, mines a bolt on one tho.

I didn't actually order it. My old boss when I worked at a restoration shop ordered it for a customer who ended up getting a different hood for his car. so I bought this one off him. but i believe it only took about a week to get the hood from the time he ordered it.

never haha. I've grown accustomed to the look of it. plus now its gonna be mainly used at the track. I'd rather spend my money on go fast goodies than paint and body work. I just ordered a bunch of parts 2 days ago that should get my car in the 10s if its doesn't grenade the motor or rearend first
