Default Getting Snow today, DD is in shop, and I have chrome rims.

What should I do, these things are in great shape and I have to get to work. Its too late to take them off. I don't want them to be discolored.

They'll be fine, just wash them off good afterwards.

Alright thats what I was originally thinking. Then I saw posts on here about how it took hours of polishing to get them out. We are only getting an inch or two over here, but the idiots with the salt trucks get out there and mess things up pretty quick. My car has never seen snow while in my ownership, I just want to keep it in nice condition.

Stop being a wussy

Dont park in a muddy salt pit as deep as the floor boards and you'll be ok! Or if you are really worried, just cut some circles out of something and tape them to your wheels...something like...oh I dont know...some lunchtrays??

Chrome will be fine. I would be more worried if they were polished. As mentioned just don't park with them underwater and there's nothing to worry about. Rinse afterwards and you're done.

Thanks Justin, and Red99TA, I like your new Vette. I was seriously pondering the purchase of your old car. I never said more than a few words because I didnt want to be a "tire kicker". My job situation was a little shaky a few months ago. Had it been now and known for a fact that I'd sell my car for at least $7500, I probably would do it.

make sure you clean the back of each rim too......I hate seeing nice rims with peeling chrome on the back side.

Yeah timing is a big factor for everyone. The guy that bought it just got back from Iraq (he's a member on here) and he's already planned some gears and a 150 shot...it's going to haul some serious *** when he's done. It's still got less than 60K miles too.
