Yeah, but Jon posted a pic of an old Mopar he was interested in. I'll stick with f-bodies ;)

Yea Tony, know what you mean, I love LOTS of old stuff.. a 66 Nova, 67 Chevelle, 65 fast back Mustang and MOPARS but I just couldnt pull the trigger and NOT get a Camaro.. :) It was especially tought since all the other stuff was priced so much better than the Camaros (especially the 69 ones).. Good luck Jon and just one word for you.. HEMI :D

Re: jonss's car for sale?

Yup, it's for sale. If I can get the right amount of $$ for it, it's going to go. I have had two serious people inquire about it thus far that are coming to look at it this week. The other 15 emails a day have been more of a wishy-washy nature.

I thought long and hard about which direction I want to go with my new car.. and considering i'm out in SoCal, and love detroit muscle, and going to shows, I have to go pre 1972 again. I've owned thus far, a 56 Bel Air, and a 68 Camaro RS, so the oldie chevys I'm no stanger too. But theres just something pulling me to 68-70 Chargers. They're such a muscle car icon... I'd love to own and work on one. More leaning towards a 68 Charger RT right now, 440 big block/auto. If I don't find the right charger, then I might consider some other B body cars, maybe a 67 Chevelle (love those rear tail lights). We'll see.

Steve, HEMI... I wish! We'll see what pans out though.

MMMM 67 Chevelle. My favorite - used to own one, but it met a telephone pole the hard way and is in Chevy Heaven. I will one one some day . . .

Good Luck Jon, so sad seeing these exceptional current gen F-Body's being put up for sale. :(

Re: jonss's car for sale?

Come on Jon, be honest, you just want a black on black Charger with a blower sticking thru the hood so that your import owning buddies will accept you as a member of the Fast & Furious Crew (hehehe)

Oh yeah, do you have any good photos of your entire car (hood closed) with the nice wheels on it? I'm trying to decide on what color wheels look better on these 35ths.

Thanks
Tony

Yup, I just wanna be like Vin Diesel, and be excepted by the SoCal ricer crowd!!!! Is that too much to ask?

Nope, not at all, but that car was pretty damn cool. :hump: Too bad the blower was fake. :guns:
If I find a pic of the car with the new wheels and the hood down, I'll shoot it your way. I like them alot. They are a gunmetal color, with a polished aluminum lip. I get alot of compliments on how they match the car well.

The charger I was looking at is SOLD! The search continues....

At least I'm not planning on selling my F-bod anytime soon, or at all for that matter :D.

Re: jonss's car for sale?

If I didn't plan on keeping it I wouldn't dump all this money and time into it :). I just can't see myself ever getting rid of the car, I know to many people who had awesome cars and now regret selling them. I was even offered $35,000 for the car once, I just told him the car is worth to much to me.

Re: jonss's car for sale?

MadIce, I said the same thing about my '98 Formula. I dumped WAY more into that car than you have so far lol. But, as with any project or toy, you will probably get bored sooner or later and want to start on something new. Everyone typically has a goal to reach with their current vehicle, and when you hit it, you start to lose interest. If you go beyond your original goals, you might not enjoy the car nearly as much (drivability, reliability, expenses, etc...)

Yea Tony I still think you shouldn't have sold it, lol. But I guess only time will tell the future of our cars.

Yup, it's sold! Got what I wanted for it.
Now, the search is on for a 69 Camaro, 66-67 Chevelle.
