im jealous that you live in hawaii!

I have a tuner coming from VA early next month so I should know better then. A similar build with M6 3.90 gears made 528rwhp with tires spinning and some other issues. There was more in it, but not time to work it out. I'm hopin to see at least 525rwhp with an A4 and 3.42 gears and better tires for the dyno. My Sumi HTRZII's spin pretty easy.

Looks damn good. Clean up your engine bay alittle bit though.

Nice, but why would you put a front plate on such a cool car? Laws be damned.

I was in hawaii 3 years and they sent us to Missouri a year ago. The only bad thing in hawaii is not having a drag strip

SIC LSX 04-12-2008 02:27 AM

I never ran a plate for 3 years and never once had someone say anything to me. I even had a billet grill so they really should of noticed :)

X2. Where did you get your magnacharger? Was it made for the firebird or is it supposed to be for vettes?

Very nice car btw!

I will trade spots with the guy from Mo that wants to be in hawaii. This place really sucks unless you like surfing and crap like that.

SIC LSX 04-13-2008 12:35 PM

yup im in the KC camaro club we do about 20 shows and 15 cruises a year

Matt_2000_SS 01-03-2009 01:46 AM

I know this post is from "last year" and all, but did you not have to notch the SS hood at all to make the Maggie kit fit? Just wondering as we have very similar cars and am looking to go the same route that you have. Also, did you have any kind of complications during install, anything to lookout for?

Sweet pics BTW!!!

farmdawg 01-03-2009 05:59 AM

Holy return from the past, batman!!!

No I did not have to notch the hood, but it would have helped with some clearance issues. i had to grind the TB down through the top bolt hole to clear the hood, and the sensor that sits there was the only reason I didn't go further. It went together fairly smooth, I just had tuning issues, because there is no pro tuner here in Hawaii. I had to get some friends together and bring out someone. I didn't drop out the engine like LM Speed recommends for the cowl cutting, it would have been easier to reach the spot, but more of a hassle in the long run re-bleeding brakes, and all of the other stuff; I just tore the engine down to the block, covered the block with towels and sat on it then went to work with the dremel cutting the piece out and welded the patch in sitting on my engine. Watch out for the alignment of the lid and TB, after all of the work was completed, I noticed that my lid and TB had about a 3/8" difference; with the stock config it's no big deal with the hoses able to flex and all, but that close, it was a PITA to take off the lid and clean the air filter then put it back.

Your car looks good I like what's under the hood but that license plate is:barf: you need to get that fixed put it in the front windshield.
