Good work, I did mine about 6 years ago and never regretted it. The absolute hardest part was making the first cut in the roof panel, after that I was working fast like a madman to see how it was gonna come out since it was already past the point of no return. It took me 4-5 hours to do all of the cutting/fab/fitting, then my body shop friend did the fiberglass/bondo/paint work for me. I NEVER would have dreamt of riveting in a piece of 90, I did it just like you did because it just made sense too

It took about an hour of tweaking the weather stripping and the brackets in the pillars to get it water tight. I didn't have to do a thing to the passenger side but initially the drivers side leaked like a sieve. I had to re-adjust the weather stripping A LOT and RTV a few spots that the water found. Then another hour or so making the window fit to the weather stripping position. I still have some final tweaking to do because the drivers T Top doesn't sit 100% against the center bar. I put the weather stripping on first, then made the T Top fit to that. I should've done it the other way around. So I have to take the drivers side back apart and do it again. But it's 100% water tight for now so it'll last until I get a day to fix it.

If you want it to remain water proof and not develop squeeks you will have some subframe connectors welded in...I have 161,000+ miles on mine and no squeeks or leaks...V6 or V8 doesn't mean anything..it is the roads you travel that will cause your leaks and squeeks to appear ..

[QUOTE=Lotus289;9515603]Thanx guys!! I actually forgot about the carpet stain (that happened 4 years ago) until I stripped the interior. I'm going to steam clean it soon and if that don't work it'll get replaced.

Yeah I was going to comment about the big gulp gone bad, or hard right turn gone bad... ha good work man that **** looks factory. most people would never be able to tell.

I don't remember exactly what happened, but I'm sure it had something to do with turning, shifting, talking on the phone, and drinking coffee all at the same time. Something HAD to give.

Great work dude! It looks stock.

Why are there so many people that want hardtops so bad? Just curious, cuz I refused to have a hardtop when looking for my car. I only wanted the T-tops, they look the best IMO and I just like them in general.

I could see wanting a hard top if you're building a drag car that's gonna put down a brazillian horsepower. Or maybe if you're a pasty *** and you live in Arizona?
