VIOLA! My Top Secret interior mod..Declassified!! PICS! 2 Attachment(s) This is the factory gauge bezel that I have smoothed and painted and applied some custom made decals. I also had the WS6 decal custom made for the Tach. I didn't want one of the stainless overlays since they look like an overlay. Also, I want to keep the black gauges so I think this gives me a nice contrast! Tell me what you all think!! Pics were taken before re-attaching the lens for a clearer photo. Here's an over-all pic. https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1213995550 And Here's a close-up! https://ls1tech.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1213995550 Swat |

Can't give installed pics yet. I'm smoothing and painting the gauge surround. Swat |

Looks pretty cool. How do you get the glass off? It feels like it wants to crack when I try prying it off. |

Did you cut that section off from the lens with a dremel or heat it in the oven and pry it apart? Nice job, looks great! |
very nice  |
i like it but it think the bird instead of teh was6 would look better imo |
To answer a couple questions and correct a few comments...There are 4 screws that hold the entire gauge module assembly in the dash. They are covered by the plastic gauge surround. After removing the screws the assembly pulls out of it's socket and a little wiggeling will get it out. Four clips hold the clear lens and accent rings to the gauge face/module. Carefully pushing these down and in will release it. I then used a Dremel tool to cut the plastic welded spots around the perimeter of the lens. After waving the magical wand and the modifications complete, model cement holds the lens back where it belongs! I've seen the bird decal elsewhere, but wanted something *gasp* different! Not being sarcastic to you, red, but most people can't stand 'different!' Swat |
I can't tell you what i think until I actually see it in the car. get some good pics of the whole interior with the new gauges! |
