Default Anyone have falken tires

i just realized how much my tires suck! I was messing around with a turbo jetta fri. night and passed him around 130 when i braked for a turn the *** end got loose and i went sideways around the turn and lost it and went threw a fence... my car is messed up big time....i guessing easily 10-15k in damage..i broke the t-top with my head and a board came threw the windsheild and almost impailed me. I'm also upset because my front end is gone and my airbags ddint go off any ideas y? My car is destroyed and im pissed...it was my fault for going so fast but the tires didnt bie at all...i dirve the road everyday and i have taken the turn over a hundred b-4 its a 30 m.p.h. turn but this time my luck ran out.

Putting Falkens on an extremely high performance car? And then trying to take 130mph corners?

'Shortbus' is right.

Lucky to be alive, my friend

Hate to break it to you, but it's probably set at 30 MPH for a reason.. Doing 100 over the speed limit is just plain ignorant, and no tires are gonna help that!

I had falkens on my 98 SS. Never had a problem with them. They had damn good wet traction, and they were great on exit ramps. Of course I wasnt being a dumbass around corners either.

The big message I would give to you right now is - BE GLAD YOU ARE ALIVE. Screw worrying about the tires.

On the other front, there is not telling what caused you to lose control. Driving too fast, an oil patch in the road, bad suspension, tires too cold . . . it may be difficult to blame what happened strictly on the tires.

I will add that better tires might have helped, but I don't think you'll be flying around that corner anymore! BTW, I'm truly glad you weren't hurt!!
