The stripes don't look bad, BUT I agree with the others...putting Yenko on a car that is clearly not a Yenko is retarded. I hate clones. There is a kid in my town that has a v6 mustang that is a Cobra R clone and it makes me want to punch someone

Ditto, there is nothing wrong with making a 4th gen Yenko tribute car. Build the car right, put on badging and look great. When someone asks you about it...you tell them it is a tribute car.
When you put on an aftermarket non-GM SS hood, do you tell people you have put on an SS hood, or, do you tell them you have put on an SS Tribute hood?
When you put on a Sunoco hood, do you say it is a Sunoco hood, or a Sunoco tribute hood?
Non GM ZO6 style wheels; do you say you got Z06 wheels or that you aftermarket Z06 inspired wheels?
I think you all are taking this to far. Changing the appearance of a car is something that is done everyday, however, a tribute car is obviously something someone has custom made and adds a great retro touch to the vehicle.
There are way to many people who put on an SS hood or Z06 wheels that are not OEM parts and still refer to them as an SS hood or Z06 wheels. Okay, so you change your appearance to look like a Yenko Camaro and put Yenko badging on it. Who on here has bought aftermarket non GM ZR1 or Z06 wheels and put a Chevy Bowtie, ZR1, Z06 or SLP centercaps on them? Same difference.
As far as it being rice, no, it is not rice. There is a difference between building a car the right way and adding the badging to it and buying a hatchback with 140k miles, drilling holes in the muffler and adding Type-R badging. I think that building the Yenko tribute car would be similar to an Acura Integra owner shipping a right hand side driver over here and building it up will all JSpec Type R parts and then adding Type R badging to his car.
Some things can be done right and still not be rice.

i have a 4inch cowl on my z now and been thinking about doing the yenko stripes on the hood and body, because every camaro in my area is the same and i hate being the same as everyone else when it comes to my z, thats why i bought the cowl hood.
on a side note i think if done right like everyone is saying you would gain respect from the people that know about yenko. but i dont think everyone has the cash to just go and drop a 427 in their camaro just to not **** someone off because it has the yenko stripes on it.
when you see a 69 camaro anywhere do you try and pick out the faults in the car or do you show respect for it and the owner because it's a muscle car and it is still doing what it was build for, to be driven or put on the strip. why would it really **** anyone off that you desided to place the yenko badges on your not orginal yenko car? because maybe their pissed off they didnt do it or because they don't show the respect that went in to these cars to make their name last for ever.
we all work on our cars to make them faster and to stand out from others, why is it a sin if your trying to make the car as fast if not faster then the yenko's were? but everyone has their own thoughts on this topic.

sorry...im not a fan of that design.
mine runs the number, thats why it says yenko on it.
all my decals are hand cut, one-off...so there will never be another one exactly like it.

My buddy cut the graphics himself, i told him i wanted to be close to the original without wrapping around the spoiler. I think he did a hell of a good job!

As much as I want a Yenko I wouldn't put those graphics on my car. I've even gone as far as to thinking about doing my car like the Guildstrand Corvette in everything. I've also thought about doing a ZL1 replica(4th gen of course) on my V6 but instead of calling it a ZL1 I came up with my own design. Why put someone elses name on your car when you can put your own?.
