Default Help, it seems that 2nd is my only forward gear

Trans goes into neutral from drive just fine, reverses like normal and park works as well, but no matter whether its in 1, 2, 3, or OD, It starts and stays in 2nd gear, maybe 3rd, nt sure. like 2600rpms at 39mph according to vcm scanner. Ive always had a manual trans so I dont even know where to look. drove to work fine this morningthis has only happened since I started to drive home this afternoon. The only thing I did differently was wiggle the 3 wire connector under the hood that has the tach wire as my autometer was fluttering. this is a turbo lq4, 4l80e swap into a grand national also if it makes any difference

please help

Matt

Yes check fuses sounds like you have lost power to the trans

Update, it had something to do with the connector that my tachometer was on as well. Because while the tach worked, it did not shift, so i unhooked the connector and rehooked it up with a different cable routing as it seemed like it was being tugged, and all went back to the way it was. except the tach got feedback as usual
