what will brake?? I have two built 4l60e's right (one stage 3 nd one stage 4). I have used the stage 4 in a high 10 sec NA car for a couple seasons now and it worked great. The other is in my 370 turbo car, computer shifted, 3600 stall. The motor is being broken in, so it only sees 6 lb of boost and a soft launch. However, when I turn up the boost to 14lb, I am going to be a little concerned. One member on here made 800RWHP/7XX torque with the same setup. I would rather selll the trans and converter while it is working, then to trash it and have to build a t350 or 400.
The question is I know the launch will be softer then my NA car, but 1 to 2 will be under full TQ. Which is more likely to kill the trans, or to will it be ok under these conditions? I will run DRs on the track and street tires on the street. It will see the track about 8 runs per month at most. Will these 8 runs be enough to kill it? willl a T350 hold in these conditions. I have used a t400 in the past, but have up some power in return.
