Default Old School Type Flex Plate????'s

Ok I must appologize in advance for this question.

I wanted to know if a old type flex plate from a TH350 or 700r4 would work with a adapter form GM or someone else?

I had a carb'd 383 in a in a 84 C-10 and want to install a LS1 into the 84. I have everything (I think) to install it but a flex plate for my (93)700r4. I just wanted to ask before I went through and messed something up. Its a 168t SFI style, the kind thats been around forever.

I'm thinking I must buy a 6.0L or a 5.3L type for this swap. Am I right or just use my old one with adapter GM 12563532 with 6 bolts 12563533.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mike

P.S. Using a dual bolt pattern YANK 3500 stall converter for the 700r4.
