Default anyone who daily drives a stalled auto come in...

i have a 99 camaro ss, i just installed a 228r cam from texas speed, specs are 228/228 .588 .588 on a 112 lsa. i do daily drive the car and i have available to me a 4000 or 3400 stall. the 3400 i would have to take out of another car but the 4000 is ready to go in. would the 4000 be tolerable on a daily basis. im a gearhead so im pretty laxed when it comes to driveability but i dont want something thats going to be a pain in the ***!! would like to hear from some people who daily drive a 4000. mine is a vig but it doesn't matter what brand really just need some input. thanks!

No brainer. Go with the 4000. You'll love it as long as you get teh tuning set up right.

I have a Yank SS4000 and it aint so bad around town, and on the highway it's nice with the verter locked up. On the track it absolutely kicks ***!

from wut ive read, vig converters are a lil loose and may flash a lil higher than wut they say. that 4000 may actually go to 4200-4300rpm

if you want the best converter out there, give FTI a call. You wont find anything better...

i daily drive a vig 3200 and a 230 size cam with no problems. since its a daily driver i would have said a 3600 would be perfect size. but i am sure after awhile that would be a bit small. so i would probably go with a yank SS4000 stall.

Good to hear that, Because I'm going to use the SI4 ( which has the same specs expect the LSA 113 ) with my 215 TFS , and I was wondering if the car will accept this setup.

I have a friend with a vig4000 and I thought it was too much so I bought a yank3600 and after telling him he said he's jealous. Turns out he rode in a car with a ss3600 and liked its tightness a lot more than his 4000.

dont get me wrong lonely, the car doesnt go in to gear without having the foot on the gas. if i were to shift in to reverse or drive with touching the gas from park it will die. its kinda tough the first couple times but i wouldn't recommend doing it everyday. im sure if it was tuned for the stock converter it wouldnt be too bad but the converter is going to make it run alot stronger!
