Default Shipping a Transmission, how did you do it?

I am starting to get up the money to get my 4L60 rebuilt. I need to ship it from Hawaii, so what is a good way to get it shipped, without getting ruined, yet not cost a fortune.

Mannn..shipping something that heavy is going to be around $300 coming from Hawaii. Your best bet would be freight.

The cost is pretty bad. Otherwise I would have already done it.
Should I put it on a pallet? In a plastic bin? Are there transmission boxes already out there?

I recieved my performabuilt tranny today It was wrapped in plastic in a heavy duty cardboard box, filled with that foam that expands then dries. It was shipped ups ground and i recieved it in perfect condition even though you can see they had it sitting a couple different ways.
