Dope Tranny Cooler Install

I have searched and found 1 pic and the webpage url that is dead. This is the pic

What do you have to do to do this, cut out the vent part of the airdam? Can I do this without cutting that out by just getting some longer bolts, mounting it underneath the vent and inserting the bolts through the factory holes? I have looked at the other ways of doing this, say up by the FTRA duct, but have decided agaisnt that, leaving me this method. Thanks for any input!

I did the DOPE install exactly like he had on his page, and the results have been awsome. I think that is THE most efficient place to mount a cooler, since there is nothing in front of, or behind the cooler, and you get air forced through it from the air dam.

Yes, I did cut the plastic venting, and I think for maximum airflow it's the best way. I also drilled holes through the airdam for the lines.

Also, get some longer bolts than come with it and get some nuts with plastic locks built in. This way you can leave all the bolts a little loose for flexability, because the air damn and bumper cover will move a little bit. Not VERY loose, just a hair of play in the bolts.

BTW you can't even see the cooler from in front of the car, so even though you have to cut the plastic it's completely invisable.

Thanks for the advice! I installed it today, and am very happy with the results.

That is my picture.

The vent part of the air dam needs to be cut out for the install.
