I read in a gm high-tech performance that century transmissions removes the check valve in the input shaft to gain performance and that it would feel like a shift when the converter locks up

I wanted to know what you guys thought of this. I will be pulling my Trans in the next month and with everything else I am doing should I add this to the list? I have a stage 2 shift kit and am upgrading everything else

I pull that ball & capsule out on all my performance units.Also block off the tcc regulator valve in valve body.Have whoever tunes the car to get rid of pwm and turn it into on/off. Those mods make L/U more positive feel & more durable.

We do this on all of our units also its gives a more agressive feel to lockup and should increase converter clutch life. However of note some people do not like the feel of it till they get used to it.
