Th400 tranny filter?

Default Th400 tranny filter?

I want to change my filter went down to the auto parts store picked up a fram filter,The thing I noticed what was diffrent then the one I had is the fram one is paper element set up,the one that was on my car was metal mesh element for the filtering debre.Does this matter?Tranny is a race built th400 rvmb with a big stall.

So dou think its alright to use the fram filter with the felt filter material ooposed to the metal mesh one.

If it is a transbrake or high performace built th400, you will need to use a brass screen filter. The daycron (paper media) will restrict flow too much and cause future problems.

It is trans brake car looks like im going to yank out the paper media one and get the brass screening one put in.
