Default How much will aftermarket tc beat on stock tranny?

I know a tc has got to beat on the tranny but how much do you think? I havent ever had a aftermarket tc on any of my 3 ls1 cars. Im looking forward to my 1st on on current car but I dont wanna go ripping through trannys.

I will be doing a cooler of course but thinking about a deeper tranny pan as well.

but as you add more power a stock trans is more likely to break.

Makes sense. So how about the stock 10 bolt? How much more of a beating is that going to take with a tc?

It depends on the condition of your trans before the t/c. As long as you have a good cooler and good tuning you should be fine. I ran a vig 2800 40,000 miles with a stock trans even dipping in the 11's on several occasions. Autos are easier on stock ten bolts. I have 80,000 miles on my stock 10 bolt and I run nitto drag radials with no problem. It depends on your driving style that will determine how long the drivetrain will last!

I dont think synthetic trans fluid would be a good idea with a stall because of extra slip just my opinion.
