Default TCI 378000 trans pan... need filter extension or no?

I want to get a new pan to increase fluid capacity. It's hotter than hell in GA so I want my trans to last. I'm going to pick up the TCI Auto 378000 pan tomorrow. TCI says that I do not need an extension, even though this is a deeper pan. I've read a couple of posts saying that they ran it with the truck filter and extension. I have a 95 lt1 and a 4l60e

thanks in advance.

There is no filter extension needed. Whomever told you that they ran a TCI deep pan for a 4L60E with an extension, gave you incorrect information. Our pan does not need one.

There are four prongs sticking up to keep the filter in
place.

If you grind them down judiciously, you can use the truck
filter instead and eliminate any chance of starvation on
hard cornering.

However this is the pan I had to take back off my lowered
car because it was collecting too much yellow paint.

At stock height you should be good.

My car is lowered down 1.5" and it looks close to the ground.

I would hate to see the day I run over someting sharp in the middle of the road.
