I like the fact it has a fan on it set to turn on at 175 but does it cool better then the high btu coolers with no fan? I'm not going to run through the stock cooler and just one or two of theses if they cool better.

I like a cooler with fan if car sees track time. I have Derale 15820. Its as big as we could fit in.Tranny temp usually around 150. My car sees a lot of track time so I wired mine to a switch so I can have it on all the time at track.

I cut section of my front bumper cover out, about 14"x24" see picture, and mounted it flush. I you pull your cover down a little you will see the spot. Fan is behind cover & cover is still sturdy. I think it works great and I have about 70 track passes on car since install. I also drive it to track & back 90 mi round trip.

I am. I found that the ones without fans, if you don't mount them by the ac evaporator and coolant radiator where they have air drawn past them by the existing fan, they don't work well for drag racing, obviously cuz you're only moving on your pass and on the way back lol. Without the fan, it wasn't enough to cool my stalled trani, and this was without using the T-brake. The sucker reached well over 250f on hot days, hot lapping, just powerbraking a lil.
I got a pretty large B&M cooler with fan and mounted it dope style below the battery. I had to relocate the horns and do some cutting on the black plastic shroud, and fabbed up some mounting brackets. But it's a pretty clean install and it should work well, Winter, or Summer. I know how it works when I finally get my motor done.
