Default 4L80E in a 1999 WS6

The cars a stick car currently has a TH400 in it and I was wondering if the 4l80E can be built for 800HP/TQ and run without computers. Any info would be great thanks guys!

The 4L80E can easily be built for that power level and it can be used without computers, however I prefer the use of the stock PCM. You can still manually shift, but using the controller allows good everyday driving manners, consistant shifts for racing, and since it's already there the cost is minimal. Free if you already have tuning software.
