Default Yank converter .. chewed up inside??

I finally got around to pulling my 4l60e tranny after many months of being down from a random no movement and slipping condition. I noticed the converter was almost impossible to spin on the tranny. I had a helluva time truing to slip it off the shaft and discovered what appears to be either some kinda thrust washer (maybe) that is destroyed. It looked to come from the space in between the converter hub and the splined area in the converter. Its in several pieces.
First off i plan to get the converter looked at and possible freshened/rebuilt.
Can a local place do this or would it need to go back to yank?
What does this usaully run, price wise?

I personally would get in contact with Yank and have them do the repairs. It is always best to go back to the original manufacture for stuff like this. Vince

If its Yank's converter, send it back to Yank. They will take care of you. My .02

The photos you sent us are not of a Yank converter but another brand as yank converters are Red in color not Black as one shown.

but you could post the photos to see if they respond.
