Default El Torro cam with low stall converter need advise

I am purchasing a El torro cam 230/230 .612/.592 xfi/xer 111+2 lsa for my 98 formula firebird. I have a hughes performance torque converter that is 2000 rpm stall. Will this cam work with this stall or will it be boggy?

I know I should buy a yank or a vig 3X00 (I have read the posts) but I really don't want that in my street/strip car. This is my summer driver (I live in ND) and my main concern is the tq converter slipping on the highway. With my 3.73 gears I am running 1900 RPM at 60 which is about the slowest I will ever go.

You will neen a bigger converter,(3600 min). When you take it to get tuned the cam and converter will fight each other.Car will not want to idle.

Converters dont slip on the hwy. You could have a 5k converter and once you cruise at over about 45 mph it locks up and drives like stock.

This.

Also, the car will be a dog off the line with a 2k stall.

You will really like the performance increase with a 245mm converter, and like mentioned, freeway driving is not a concern.
Personally I prefer the precision industries vigilante.
