Why would you not ask Yank directly? I bet they're
waiting to tell you all about it.

Because i know there are people out there who may not like them or have tried both. Sometimes its nice to get opinions other than from the actual manufacturer.

I have had both the SS3600 and the Pro Extreme is currently what I have.

Little history
I purchased the SS3600 in 2004 for a 5.3L swap in my S-10 it made 330Rwhp N/A at the time and 491 on a 150hit.

The converter worked great and picked me up 7 tenths over a stock converter, My engine grew to a 6.0L heads cam deal that did 425rwhp and somewhere around 600 on the bottle converter worked well and the truck did consistant 1.65 ish 60's on motor and 1.52's on bottle. Best at that time of 10.66@128mph

Enter a 76mm turbo and a lot less compression. 700RWHP and 696tq the converter did me well with a best of 1.48 sixty off the foot brake and into the 9.90's @ 140mph.

The following year I went to a better cylinder head and an 88mm turbo and jumped power to the 850rwhp range. The truck did a best of 9.52@146 with a 1.48 sixty. Calculated slip was around 20%

At this time I contacted dave and we moved to a Pro Extreme 3600 for my setup. With hopes of a better top end charge. This converter felt noticably tighter on the street, with no changes to the tuneup at all The first pass out it went 9.52@152 with a softer 1.54 sixty foot. The converter needed a little more rpm to 60 foot with the SS3600 next pass with a little better launch 1.45 sixty it went 9.38@153.6 since then I havent gone a whole bunch faster. best of 9.32 with a 1.41 sixty.

My SS3600 served for over 650 passes and is still going strong in an F body.

The Pro Extreme 3600 has approx 100 hits on it now and shows efficiancy in the 5-6% range.

Both are great converters. All of this was done in my pick-up at 4000lbs with me in it.

Dave makes a great product.
