4l60 problem with nitrous only
I got a rpm lv. 5 4l60e. I just ran it at the track and it will shift good on just motor no problems at all. But when I add a 100 shot to it it will not shift from 1 to 2 just bangs off the limiter till i let off the gas then will shift . I have a window switch set to shut off 200 rpms before the shift. Car shifts at 6400 and has been tuned for nitrous made 524whp on 100 shot. Any ideas?

The band is not engaging tight enough.
Who's "level 5" is it?
Sorry, but I don't think a Level-5 from e.g. FLT or RPM would have this problem unless it had a lot of miles/abuse on it. If it is from them, contact them for a refresh.
Otherwise, the trans needs the following parts which can be installed without removing it:
1. A .490/.500 boost valve - such as the Sonnax 4L60-LB1.
2. The largest 2nd gear servo - such as the Sonnax Super-hold #77911-03K
(This is difficult to install with trans in an F-body, but not impossible.)
3. The 1-2 accumulator should be checked to ensure the piston is not cracked.
This is a good time to install an aluminum piston or a Sonnax Pinless piston.
It is also important that the tune be set for max line pressure during WOT shifts.
Of course, if the band is worn and/or low quality, the trans will need to be removed and rebuilt.
