I bought this trans and wanted to know if anyone has any info on what might be done to it or who built it. The guy i bought it from said he bought it in a car he was parting and it was "built" but has stock shift servo.

that's what I was thinking but I got a half way good deal on it. The guy was running a 250 shot and lifting tires off the ground. I did not think a stock 4l60e could do that.

If you are referring to the servo cover, a fancy one only indicates that it has a billet 4th gear servo. If you aren't racing in 4th gear, or pulling a trailer in a truck, you don't really need a billet 4th gear servo. More for looks than need; many good builders will skip it.
Be sure you are getting the correct type of trans - the LT-style and LS-style are incompatible.

my original plan was going to find someone to put some new clutches in for me and tell me what was done because fluid was a little dark when i bought it. but stock 165000 mile trans did not make it through the dyno with new build, so had to get trans in so it can get tuned.
