Default 4L60E...will a 1998 tranny work in a 2001???

Hello and thanks in advance for the help! I need to know if a 1998 LS1 4L60E tranny will work without issues in my 2001 Z28? I want to install an automatic and I have searched but can't find "FOR SURE" that the '98 tranny will work. Are there any issues that I should be concerned about? Technology or computer upgrades that will cause a problem? Will the '98 tranny harness interchange? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
