Default No 1870 code but converter slipping?

My 4l60e will not stay locked all of a sudden, this is a frost tuned car, I changed the rear end,and updated the gear ratio using hp tuners, also upgraded the converter thinking that was the problem. It is being commanded,
And when using vcm controls will not lock, it will slip and unlock, anyone seen this before?

Maybe a bad wire or connection. The tune is correct right? We used to get the same code even if vert locked up at the correct MPH. The problem was in the tune ,it had something to do with the stall speed and one of the tranny settings. When the car got into the stall before locking up the PCM flashed the code.

Yours is locking then unlocking right.

Yes it is locking, but at any throttle it unlocks. When I command it to lock in vcm controls it does the same thing. Nothing has changed in the tune... Confused..... Wondering what mechanically could cause this?

A bad solenoid in the valve body or bad connector on the valve body would be my guess. When the verter locks it takes alot of fluid to hold the clutch engaged. It gets this fluid through the valve body and it flows through a solenoid.

I am going to change the solenoids, but what bothers me is the warmer the trans fluid gets the more it slips.....slip rpm is as high as 800 or more depending on tp, I was told that should always stay below 100 rpm or so...

What do you see for TCC_Mode when it's unlocking?
--3-- indicates misfires. You have to watch the table
display for that, can't plot it.

Look at TCC duty cycle if you haven't forced it to max.
Look at force motor current and see if you are bleedng
too much main line to hold the TCC.

Is the vertor any good? It could be a bad clutch. It may be glazed over
