4l60e problems
 

1.going down highway at 65 and punch it the rpms will hit 5000 and then it catches and goes...only happens once awhile. 2)seems to shift harder at normal driving. 3) put gear selector in 2nd and there is very little power.4) last time i was at the strip and the 1 to 2 shift it would bounce of the rev limiter and did not want to shift. any help would be greatly appreciated guys,i dont know very much about the 4l60.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but what you've described is a worn out transmission. The 3/4 clutches are slipping significantly, the 2/4 band is slipping or the servo is not holding.

If it has been doing this for any time then the damage is done. What mods have been done other than what changes have been made to the powertrain?

Let me give you a little more detail as to what may be happening....

The intermittent nature of it not holding in a 4/3 downshift is usually due to a 3/4 clutch that is worn excessively. The loss of power taking off in 2nd is probably due to the unit be commanded to leave in 3rd gear, meaning it is in limp mode. The harsh shifts are due to a high line pressure default command by the PCM due to a fault that it has recognized.

yes its on but has no codes that come back to the tranny
