T/C in,now tranny slips.
Car feels great but when I stood on it it didn't want to go into third and the rev limiter was da da da da intil I let off. WTF? I did find out that my battery
is defective. Could the bad battery have an effect on the electronics managing the trans?
Can this be adjusted any other way? If not then I'm screwed for awhile.
Hell I might even take the stall out and put the stock back in.
How can I have a limited edit done?
Can a tranmission shop do this?
I've seen pricing in the low 100's to get the computer work done for a convertor. Your in Ohio so it might be cheaper for you.
TM=Torque Management
6.0 heads in the shop. I was hoping not to tune until after the heads
are ready to go one in the next 2 months. Guess I won't be able to
see the improvements the T/C made alone.

As suggested wait until you have your heads, and other engine work done, then get a complete dyno tune.

If I have to wait until I do the H/C swap I'll change it back
cause I can't run the car the way it is and it may 2 months
before I have all the parts bolts, gaskets, pushrods.
Damn, if I only knew.
Also are you installing it yourself? If not why pay someone to do that when you could just use that money for the edit?
the PCM I'll let someone else do that but educate me as we go.
I've been dying to drive the car as its been garaged all winter
and now it seems it may be most of the summer til after I can get her
tuned. I've gotta start playing the lotto.

When you install a Transgo shift kit, it mechanically beefs up the transmission, and allows it to handle additional line pressure that the TC will create, however the PCM does not know you have the shift kit, it reads increased line pressure and then cuts the timing, this will equate into elongated shifts that are sloooooow.
The shift points of the stock converter that the pcm uses usually will not work in 2001 &2002 models, I am not sure how aggressive the TM is on 2000 model cars.
Before my dyno tune, I had trouble with idle hunting, stalling, and my personal favorite, locking and unlocking of the converter at freeway speeds. It would constantly shift between 3rd and 4th, and sometimes stay unlocked for the entire 30 min drive on the freeway.
Once my shift points were corrected on the dyno, and the TM deleted, the vehicle ran wonderfully. You will also lose HP with the converter change, however do not get hung up on numbers, it is how the vehicle drives.

I had such high hopes with the T/C of improving
my 60'rs and et. I had no idea that I'd need tuning
with the 2800 stall. Guess I'll have to baby it around
until I get the means to tuning. Then I'll have to decide
what type of tuning. Oh well just my luck.
I think it's time

You do not state what converter you have, however if it is a Vigilante 2800, your stall is actually at 3200 RPM. A friend of mine is having issues with his 2002 Z28 with the SLP 2600 stall, with his it is more the shift points than the TM.
Good luck
