I run a rossler hybid manual black box. So I still shift my trans and don't worry about tuning the pcm. TC lock up is on a switch

Turbo cars can go either way. I've seen many turbo cars gain mph with the trans swap. My car dropped .5s and lost 1 mph with the auto swap.

That works, but its way less complicated running it through the stock pcm. You put it in drive and go, lol.

I had a manually shifted th400 and imo it was stupid to drive. Thats why I went with the 80. Put it in drive and go. If you want to manually shift it pull the shifter down and you are there. Otherwise set it and forget it when its in drive.

Wait so putting a 80 in drive is faster than manually shifting.

I'm running a rossler unit with the speartech harness adapter. Really simple install and tuned with HP tuners.

No worries man. I agree for racing its better to manually shift it. For street driving auto shifting is nice.

Mike, your car is still junk, and probably won't run anyway.

P.S., I will probably help Dave pick up your tranny at some point this week .

This is good info everyone. Cam72aro, I have been following every update on your thread as this is the same route I am going.

Thanks man. I hope my thread can help people do the swap and convince them that the th400 is the lazy way to do thing. The 80 is far superb and can easily be connected to the ecm with only a few wires. No need for stand alones or manual shifting it. If you have any questions lmk.
