Default Drive shaft won't spin

So, I'm in the beginning of an engine replacement on my 94 trans am. I have the whole car elevated. With the trans in neutral, wheels off the ground, e-brake disconnected at the calipers, why won't the DS spin? There's nothing touching it or physically blocking the DS visually. I've tried using a screwdriver in the joint to force it as well. I wouldn't think the rear end or the trans is locked up since I was able to drive the car. I mean, I guess it would be possible I suppose. Anyone else ever run into this issue before? Any help/info would be greatly appreciated.

I've also considered taking a piece from under the car off to reach one side of the clamp on the joint towards the rear end. I'm not sure what its called, But it pretty much is just a long piece of metal that blocks some access to the rear of the DS.
